Ishida Tetsuya is a character that appears in Season 1 of Dark Matter. He is portrayed by actor Hiro Kanagawa.

Biography

Ishida Tetsuya also known as Emperor Ishida Nihei or simply as The Emperor, was Ishida royalty. He was also a skilled warrior with the sword. He believed in discipline and respect for tradition and their ways.

In Episode Four, GNN reported on Emperor Tetsuya's death. It was speculated that his son Ryo may have been the one who killed him.

In Episode Six, it was shown Tetsuya was a tough father and believed once his son Ryo Tetsudo, becomes Emperor he would need to be feared and show no weakness, less his enemies take advantage of him.

Some time later, when Tetsuya grew older he became weaker. It was known once Tetsuya passed Ryo would become the new Emperor. Tetsuya's wife, Empress Katsumi, wanted her own son Hiro to take the throne, so she had her husband killed and framed Ryo for the murder.
